Who Is Yo! Watts?

Subject2Change is currently "joined at the hip" with the LAYOM (Los Angeles Youth Opportunity Movement) Watts Site a.k.a. YO! Watts.

As of January 2005, Subject2Change has been operating its' P.E.R.F.O.R.M. (performing arts/entertainment industry) programs on the premises of YO! Watts located at 1513 E. 103rd Street, L.A. 90002, in the "REC" room, which has now been converted to a full service performing arts facility. The programs are now in session Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In a relatively short period of time, the team of Subject2Change and YO! Watts have been able to bring together many young lives, in a spirit of love, cultural/ethnic peace, and mentorship. This partnership has positively directed our youth participants on paths that are sure to enrich and enlighten. Through our programs we have been able to build self-esteem, enhance leadership abilities, and instill the concept of teamwork, while simultaneously providing instruction and training that will prove applicable to the many prospective jobs in the entertainment industry.

We thank Scott Lee, Adrian Veliz and the entire Yo! Watts staff for their unwavering support of the vision that Subject2Change is committed to. We appreciate all of their expertise and help in serving the youth of Watts and the greater Los Angeles area.
